This acute-care replacement hospital was the largest capital project undertakenÌýto date by the University ofÌýCalifornia system. The hospitalÌýwas designed to provide high-acuityÌýand intensive care for 525 patients andÌýobservation services for 65 patients.ÌýThe project consisted of eight storiesÌýabove grade and two below; one of which provides parking for approximately 300 vehicles.ÌýThe core & shell package included a sub-foundation drainage system, mat foundation,Ìýstructural steel frame, roof and related mechanical/electrical/plumbing items.ÌýThe exterior wall package was previously bid and assigned to this contract.ÌýTenant improvements included the balance of the hospital project such as allÌýinterior construction, elevators, MEP work, life/safety systems and site finishes. TheseÌýpackages were also bid separately and assigned to jpŠÊ˜·³Ç, which providedÌýsupervision, coordination, management, and general conditions.
